The Northern Virginia Mustang club was born on July 26th, 1966. The organizational meeting was held at Koons Ford in Seven Corners. The meeting was announced in a corner of Koons Ford’s advertisement in the Washington Post. Koons Ford also provided some support funding, as well as the use of their meeting room. About 25 people attended that first meeting. The club’s first event was a rally out Route 7 to Harpers Ferry, in September 1966.

Club activity waned in between the late 70’s through the 90’s. In March 2000 the club was reorganized under the leadership of Ceece Coburn and Ebby Short. The club continued to focus on being family friendly, with many events, activities, and great sponsors.

The club continues to evolve, taking advantage of the power of the internet and social media. Everyone is welcome. We have members of all ages, including some original members from 1966!

The club typically holds monthly meetings where members and guests can check out each other’s Mustangs, and learn about upcoming events – like cruises, car shows, etc. Our events are always family friendly, well organized, and safety minded. Bring the whole family and join the fun!

*** Due to Covid19, more events will be added to the calendar as the Stay-at-home restrictions are relaxed. ***
